What is the GETS Scale of English?

The GETS Scale of English is a framework that benchmarks the achievement of an individual user of English across Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. It is aligned to the CEFR  or the Common European Framework of Reference for languages) levels A2 to C2. The GETS Scale of English is developed as a ten-level framework: GETS Level 1 to Level 10. It provides clear ‘can-do’ descriptions at each level and for each language skill: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.

The GETS Scale of English provides an accurate and standardised score of an individual’s language proficiency along with a clear description of the ability of the individual by way of ‘can-do’ statements.
