Is GETS recognised?

GETS is the world’s first research-based English language certification, specially designed for non-native speakers of English. The assessment has been designed by English language experts in the UK and is aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), the world standard in language assessment.

GETS Higher is Independently reviewed by Ecctis – (formerly UK NARIC, the UK’s designated national agency for the recognition and comparison of international qualifications and skills)

The assessment is based on Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), which helps assess English language skills in the context of curricular subjects, thereby improving academic performance in subjects taught in English.

Many higher education institutions use GETS as part of their curriculum to assess the language skills of their students. Some UK universities use GETS Higher on their international campuses for assessing the language proficiency of their prospective students. Schools use GETS as part of their school activities to provide international certification to their students.

GETS is designed at different levels to suit the age group of students from Classes 2 to 12.
