What are the highlights of GETS?

GETS is the world’s first research-based English language certification, specially designed for non-native speakers of English. The assessment is based on Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), which helps assess English language skills in the context of curricular subjects, thereby improving academic performance in subjects taught in English. 
 
GETS is designed at different levels to suit the age group of students from Classes 2 to 12.

Key highlights of GETS Suite are:
  1. World’s first certification designed on the CLIL concept to suit non-native English users.
  2. Designed for school students who are seven years of age and above.
  3. Designed at different levels:
    1. Classes 2 & 3: GETS Elementary 
    2. Classes 4 & 5: GETS Primary
    3. Classes 6 & 7: GETS Secondary
    4. Classes 8 & 9: GETS Intermediate
    5. Classes 10 & 11: GETS Upper-Intermediate
    6. Class 12: GETS Higher* 
 *GETS Higher is Independently reviewed by Ecctis – formerly UK NARIC, the UK’s designated national agency for recognition and comparison of international qualifications and skills)
  1. Scores are mapped to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) world standards.
  2. Paper-based or Internet-based delivery in school.
  3. On-demand test dates. Schools can choose a convenient date and time for delivery.
  4. Quick results (immediate to 7 working days).
  5. Oral communication can be administered face-to-face or via recording or video interaction.
  6. New-age modern questions are engaging for all and challenging for the ablest, using pictures, audio and video for higher student engagement.
  7. Students between the age of 9 to 14 years undertake the three modules that include General English, Content-Based Language and Oral Communication to help develop academic English language capabilities.
  8. Students 15 years and above take four modules, i.e., Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking, to develop holistic international English language usage skills.
  9. Developed by UK-based, highly experienced English language and subject experts.
  10. Scores are mapped to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), the world standard in language benchmarking and certified by QAI UK.
  11. Forms part of the iSKiL Programme (Zamit’s Skill and Knowledge Integrated Learning).
