What is the format of the IELTS Listening Test?

The IELTS Listening Test consists of four sections with a total of 40 questions and takes around 30 minutes, plus an additional 10 minutes to transfer answers (in the paper-based test).You’ll hear a range of conversations and monologues, including everyday social and academic contexts. The recordings are played once only.
